Isn't Year 9 too early to start preparing?

Not at all. The most competitive US and UK universities look for sustained academic achievement, leadership, and long-term commitment rather than activities completed at the last minute. Beginning in Years 9 or 10 gives students time to genuinely explore their interests, build meaningful extracurricular experiences, and make informed academic decisions without the pressure of Year 12.

What if my child doesn't know what they want to study yet?

That's completely normal. One of the main goals of the Future Elite Program is to help students explore different academic fields before making important subject and university decisions. Through guided exploration, enrichment activities, and personalised mentoring, students gradually develop a clearer understanding of their strengths, interests, and long-term aspirations.

My child already gets good grades. Why do they need this program?

Excellent grades are only one part of a competitive application for leading universities in the US and UK. Admissions officers also consider leadership, extracurricular involvement, academic curiosity, personal qualities, and a student's overall narrative. Our programme helps students develop these areas over several years rather than trying to build them during Year 12.

Does this program help students applying to both the US and the UK?

Yes. The program is designed for students who may eventually apply to universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, or both. We tailor each student's academic planning, extracurricular development, and long-term strategy according to their evolving goals and intended destinations.

What kinds of extracurricular activities should students be doing?

There is no single "perfect" activity. Rather than encouraging students to join as many clubs as possible, we help them identify opportunities that genuinely match their interests. Over time, we focus on developing depth, leadership, initiative, and meaningful impact, qualities that highly selective universities consistently value.

Will the program help with subject selection?

Absolutely. Choosing the right senior subjects can have a significant impact on future university options. We provide personalised advice on subject selection, academic rigour, and additional opportunities such as Advanced Placement (AP) courses, extension studies, or enrichment programs where appropriate.

How often do students meet with their consultant?

The program includes regular one-on-one strategy meetings throughout the year, with additional support available as students approach important milestones such as subject selection, summer programme applications, standardised testing, and university admissions. The exact meeting schedule depends on the student's requirements.

What happens after Year 11?

Although this program is intended for students beginning in Years 9-11, it continues all the way through till the student has graduated high school and enrolled into university. Once the student is in Year 11, students will follow our Global Elite consulting program. As much of the long-term planning has been completed, Year 12 will focus on refining university lists, writing outstanding application essays, preparing for interviews, and submitting highly competitive applications.

Can parents attend consultations?

Absolutely. We encourage parents to be involved throughout the admissions journey. Parents are welcome to attend consultations, ask questions, and work alongside us to support their child's application process.

Do you help students who are in Year 7 or 8 or younger?
